STUDIO & GENERAL APPOINTMENTS (These terms apply to all non-bridal studio bookings)
DEPOSITS: A non-refundable and non-transferable deposit is required via the online booking system to secure your spot. Without payment, your booking is not secured.
PAYMENT: One payment transaction of the full remaining amount is due in person at your appointment. All remaining funds must be processed prior to leaving your appointment.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS: Appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment time, including no-shows, will incur a charge for the full booking amount. All payments are non-refundable.
RESCHEDULING: Rescheduling is at the team's discretion. No appointments can hold a secondary "backup" date; if it is not rescheduled on the spot, the date remains open to the public.
BRIDAL SERVICES (Aligned identically with the By Sabrina Walsh Bridal Contract)
BRIDAL DEPOSITS: A non-refundable and non-transferable $300 booking fee is required to secure your wedding date. This is deducted from the total invoice. Your date is only secured upon receipt of both the deposit and written confirmation (e.g., screenshot/receipt).
BRIDAL PAYMENT: The full remaining balance is strictly due 30 days prior to your booking date. If payment is not cleared by this time, the team is not obligated to provide services and the date will be reopened.
BRIDAL CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations made with less than 90 days’ notice will be charged 50% of the booking total. If you postpone within 90 days, a new booking fee is required.
QUOTES & REDUCTIONS: No reduction in the number of makeup applications or the total cost on the quote can be made after the initial quote is accepted. Additional numbers or changes on the day are at the Artist's discretion and incur additional fees.
BRIDAL PREVIEWS: Conducted at the Paddington studio Monday and Wednesday only at present. Previews are part of the bridal package; however, changes made with less than 48 hours' notice may result in forfeiture of the session.
APPLIES TO ALL SERVICES (Studio & Bridal)
TRAVEL, PARKING & SURCHARGES
TRAVEL FEES: Travel is calculated at a fixed rate of $100 per hour. Custom packages will be prepared and sent to the client including all travel expenses (flights/accommodation for destination weddings).
PARKING: The client is responsible for organizing and paying for parking and tolls. If paid parking is required, this must be provided for before arrival, or validated on-site before the Artist's departure. Any undisclosed parking fees will be invoiced separately to the client.
EARLY MORNING FEES: Arrivals before 6:00 am for Bridal bookings incur a fixed $400 out-of-hours fee. For Studio bookings, a 20% surcharge applies.
PUBLIC HOLIDAYS: All bookings incur a 20% surcharge.
DELAYS: Parking or access delays caused by the client’s miscommunication may result in shortened service time or inability to complete all booked services.
HEALTH & SAFETY
HEALTH & REFUSAL OF SERVICE: The team reserves the right to refuse service if a client displays contagious symptoms (e.g., heavy coughing, sneezing, respiratory distress, vomiting, or cold sores). If the Artist determines the client is too unwell to proceed, the appointment will be terminated immediately. In these circumstances, the booking fee is forfeited. A partial refund of the remaining service fee may be issued at the team's sole discretion.
ALLERGIES: Clients must disclose all allergies/sensitivities in advance; the team is not liable for incidental or consequential allergic reactions.
CHILDREN: Must be supervised by a separate adult at all times and are not permitted in the service area due to heavy/electrical equipment.
GIFT VOUCHERS & COUPON CODES
GIFT VOUCHERS: Minimum purchase of $50. Valid for 12 months. Non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. The team is not responsible for lost or stolen vouchers.
COUPON CODES: Not applicable to any Bridal services or previews. Only valid for studio bookings during the addressed timeframe. If a code is not entered at checkout, reimbursements will not be made.
LEGAL & LIABILITY
LIMIT OF LIABILITY: In the rare event the Artist is unavailable, the team will endeavor to find a suitable replacement. Liability is strictly limited to a refund of monies paid for the affected date only. The team is not liable for any consequential damages or secondary costs.
FORCE MAJEURE & WEATHER: The team is not liable for failure to perform due to extreme weather or government restrictions. Payments remain on file; no refunds will be issued. Clients acknowledge that weather (humidity/rain) may impact makeup results, and the team cannot guarantee outcomes in these conditions.
IMAGERY: By booking, you acknowledge that the By Sabrina Walsh team reserves the right to take and use photographs or film for portfolio, social media, and promotional use. For Studio and other non-bridal bookings, the team will request verbal consent at the time of the appointment before capturing or sharing content. For Bridal bookings, detailed consent regarding specific data restrictions and the use of professional photography will be gathered via a questionnaire prior to the event date. These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. For further information on your rights as a consumer and our rights as a service provider, please visit the Queensland Office of Fair Trading (https://www.qld.gov.au/law/fair-trading) and the ACCC (https://www.accc.gov.au).
